As a non-electrical apparatus of group II 2 G the Cable Reel type KA meets the requirements of the new standard series EN 13463-1 ff. For that reason it is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres of zone 1, what has been approved by a “Statement of Conformity” 1) according to the European ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. Furthermore the cable reel has been designed in compliance with European Directive 2006/42/EC regarding the safety of machinery.
With this cable reel up to 10 m grounding cable of the type H07RN-F 1 x 6 mm², which is used with the EKx-3 Grounding Control Devices (or else maximum 8 m of sort 2 x 2,5 mm² chosen for container grounding), can be wound up. To the scope of supply belongs 3 pieces of rubber-bonded metal buffers for mounting the cable reel insulated from the filling frame.
